Ban on Saudi Arabian students at ELS Language Centers USA

This is to inform you that ELS Language Centers USA is putting in place its largest ever “ban” on new applications for Saudi Arabian students at ELS centers in the USA. This is an effort to attempt to manage the incredible flow of applications that ELS has received in recent months, coming on top of already high Saudi enrollments.

The academic program and atmosphere of a language school benefit from a variety of nationalities, of course. ELS is expecting a very large influx of Saudis in the next 3 months from the 6th phase of the King Abdullah Scholarship Program and our overall growth has been so strong that we are facing a shortage of classrooms in many locations.

The block in applications is for ALL Saudi students, whether they are sponsored or are private and even for those that are already in the USA at other English programs.

We will make only the following exceptions to this policy:

1.       Family chaperones for female students (When sending the enrollment, please indicate the sibling’s name and ELS ID number)

2.       Spouses of students – we must receive financial certification for these students.

3.       Students who hold a conditional acceptance to the ELS host university – If this is the case, please forward a scanned copy of the acceptance together with the application. Please note that this exception does not apply to students who have applied for conditional admission and are awaiting a decision.
