Troissy is a minor town situated right between Paris and Reims and on the river Marne. The river is mostly known for the Battle of Marne during the Great War. It became one of the early turning points in the war, where the Germans advancements were halted. Today, the Champagne district is known for its quiet and picturesque villages in a beautiful rural landscape and of course its renowned maisons (champagne houses).
