Anand, can you get a certificate from your university to prove your English proficiency? If so, that should be sufficient to apply for a Tier 4 visa.

Lokesh, your Speaking score is below the minimum of 19, so I would suggest that you retake the test and focus on improving that to increase your chances of getting a visa.

Dear Sir,
I have completed my Graduation in India having Hindi as medium of instruction. However i do also have an English Language in my Graduation. i have scored handsome marks. so pls advise me if i still need to take the IELTS examination for applying UK Tier-4 visa as i coming to UK for my further studies in Maritime sector for which the duration would be 8months.

Hi Eminio, if you have a CEFR A2, then you are set. That should be sufficient proof of your English skills and should be enough to get your CAS from your sponsoring organization. Good luck!

Dear I would come in UK to study english language. I need tier4 general student. I red on your website the UKBA require that language schools, as an organisation licensed to sponsor students, ask for documentation to show that a student is able to follow a course at a minimum of CEFR A2 (pre-intermediate) level.
I have a CEFR A2.2 level certificate it is ok to obtain the tier4 or I must have a intermediet certificate?

Hi Khaled, there has indeed been a lot of confusion recently about the English requirement for the UK Tier 4 GSV. The latest news from the UKBA states that B2 is the minimum English level requirement for a UK Tier 4 GSV. Sakib, congratulations on passing the SSC exam! If you want to go to the UK to study English there, you have to prove that you have a minimum English level of B2.
